



Welcome to the first activity for your multimedia interactive lesson. Follow the directions carefully, please.
Part One
1. Open Hot Potatoes -already installed in your computer. You'll see this:

2. Click on JQuiz.
3. You'll get this:

4. Type a title for your exercise, for instance: "Lesson One" and save it in "My Documents". You need a folder for this first lesson, so create it (You should name it "First Lesson" or any other name).
5. Click on "Help" and choose "register". You must type your name the way you did it when you asked for the registration key. Remember you have the registration key in your e-mail. Go to it, open it, and get the registration key. Then copy the registration key in the space and click OK.
6. Save your first lesson in the folder you created.
Part Two: This is a multiple choice exercise, that is, you have a question and offer your students four different choices, where only one is the correct. You choose which is the correct option or answer.
a. In Q1 type this: (What is this number? 13).
b. Below Q1 you have on the left ANSWERS. Choose option A and type Three. Then go to option B and type Thirteenth. Option C must be Thirteen, and option D is Thirty.
c. On the right, FEEDBACK, choose the space that corresponds C and click on the little square
to choose it as the correct answer.
Part Three
i. Click on

ii. Choose Insert, Media Object
. You will get this window:

iii. Click on Add Windows Media Player, deactivate Include a simple link, Resize the Width to 250 and the Height to 100.
iv. Click on Browse and choose an audio file that should be in the same folder. The audio file might be any extension the Windows Media Player recognizes but an MP3 or WAV file is recommended.
v. Save your file as First Lesson.
vi. Click on File, Create Webpage, Webpage for browsers or press F6.
